About The Artist

I was born in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a child and young adult, I always painted and am self-taught. No one in my family is artistic. My mother passed away when I was young, so I moved to London to live with family. While living there I studied Theater and wanted to go on to study film. I ventured back to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1979 and met my husband who is Spanish. We traveled to South America and ended up on the south coast of Spain. I guess you could say it was the hippie trail. While in Spain in the 1980’s I opened a small Art Gallery in the historic, resort town of Almunecar, Granada.

This is where my Art Journey began. After my divorce I left Spain with two young boys and returned to the San Francisco Bay Area where I started from scratch in the 1990’s, settling in Marin County. I joined the San Francisco Street Artist Program and started creating small paintings on Ceramic Tiles mostly of The Golden Gate Bridge which I sold to tourists. A dear friend and designer, Ronnie Miller Taylor, (now deceased) encouraged me to paint on paper and canvas. I am glad I took his advice.

My work began to sell in several gift shops in and around San Francisco. I even ventured to Hawaii in 2000 and Australia in 2010 to explore art markets and sell my work. I had a bad fall in 2011 and broke my back and right knee. Doing outdoor art sales was not an option. I gave it up to focus on screenwriting, one of my other passions. I have won several Best Screenplay awards, and now run a collective for writers, directors, musicians, and actors with a goal of producing a feature film —  www.Lunaventure.com

In 2014 until 2018 I ventured to the Philippines where I co-wrote and developed 2 screenplays and shot a short film. My artwork reflects my love of Travel, and the Sea. My travels include the Philippines, Central and South America, the Caribbean, Australia, and Western Europe. I continue to paint and produce prints of my artwork. Not all of my artwork is represented on my website.

“When hanging a beautiful painting in you bedroom, look at it first thing upon awakening. It will create a feeling of joy. You will take that feeling with you for the rest of your day.”
